Episode 23: ASSURGAM
To download, "Right-click" and "save link as" HERE
ASSURGAM. Seeing the word featured on the Nightwatch Heavy Bramble led me to google it. Turns out the phrase is identified with the US Army's 626th Brigade Support Battalion, and translates roughly as "We Rise Up". Pretty cool, no?
Anyway, welcome to the 23rd episode of the threeA radio podcast!
This episode features an impromptu unboxing/review of my newest favorite WWRp 'Bot: The SDCC Exclusive WWRp Nightwatch Heavy Bramble.
Damn; I really, REALLY love this thing!
This episode also features the longest Legion Spotlight segment to date, courtesy of podcast team member Chasbrock. This time, we get to know a very cool Legion member who goes by the name Gaijin665. The first 6 minutes of audio are a little rough, but hang in there; it clears up quickly and the segment is both informative and entertaining. The guys touch on some pretty cool stuff, including the stages of threeA addiction & the diversity of the Legion.

Episode 22: Holiday Special!
To download, "right click" and "save link as" HERE.
Season's Greetings, folks!
This episode, we present a little something to listen to while you're wrapping or unwrapping those presents. A little ear-candy to help make that road-trip a little more enjoyable. :-)
This episode doesn't follow the regular show format. Instead, the podcast team joins me in a little yearly tradition of mine: A viewing of an elusive and often overlooked holiday special from the late 70's:
Listen in as the podcast team gets together for an audio commentary & critique of this culturally important program, all for purely non-profit and educational purposes.
We take a look at the importance of family-
Good Friends-
And good music.
We'll briefly discuss the mixing of cultural icons from the time period-
And talk about the first appearance of a particularly noteworthy cultural icon.
Say; did I mention the singing?
NOTE:
This episode can be enjoyed on its own as an audio-only piece, but there's a video component as well.
If you want to listen to our commentary while watching the video, you can do so at the following super-secret link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Luce5a6P8o
At the link location, pause the video at the beginning, then hit "play" when you hear the *BEEP* in the podcast mp3.

To download, "right click" and "save link as" HERE.
This episode I'm joined by Legion member and forum moderator James, aka Anubis2Night for a discussion on the ThreeA Custom Toy Show recently held at the 1AM Art Gallery.
Then it's time for another edition of 3A THUNDERDOME! Listen in as our contestants match wits to see who has the superior Tomorrow King knowledge!
We wrap things up with some speculation on the upcoming Action Portable Zombs; 1/12 versions of the iconic zombie characters from ThreeA's Adventure Kartel line.
All this and more, presented to you in dynamic, stunning mp3 form! ^_^

Episode 20: The 3A Team
To download, "right-click" and "save link as" HERE
Welcome to episode 20 of the threeA radio podcast, the internet's first podcast dedicated to 3A.
To start things off, a little primer:
What's threeA? It's a designer toy company created by artist Ashley Wood and famed toy designer Kim Fung Wong.
What are designer toys? Well, some think of them as pieces of 3-d art, prized by many for their unique and innovative combination of color and style. The pieces created by threeA have that, plus, they're just plain fun to mess around with!
And threeA is more than just a toy company. Over the years, a unique community of fans called the threeA Legion has grown around the brand.
Fans come for the cool toys, and stay for the cool people.
In this podcast, some freinds and I get together to talk about the different toys produced by threeA, as well as the gear, books, and art created by threeA and artist Ashley Wood.
This episode starts off with a quick trip to a little place called "The Emo Zone".
This episode also features a segment called threeA Legion Spotlight.
This time, we hear from legion member h8thing.
Then, it's on to the toys. The team & I discuss some of the latest threeA preorders, including the 1/6 scale Tomorrow King figures Wasabi and Oya-Loper, the 1/12 Tomorrow King Oyabun figures, and more.
Please be sure to check out the official threeA forum at www.threeAonline.com/forum!

Still here, folks!
Yeah, I know it's been a while since the last episode. But rest assured, the podcast is alive and well. Because of the time involved in editing each episode, and because of the inevitable delays that Real Life imposes on the production of the podcast, I've been working on building a cushion of episodes to have on hand & ready to drop. The plan is to have at least 2 episodes already done by the time the team & I get together to record a new one. That way, I can have an episode ready to go while I'm editing the latest recording.
As of today, the last episode to drop was number 19. I'm currently finishing up the editing on episode 21. So while there has been a bit of a lag since the last episode, HOPEFULLY, future shows will drop more regularly and more frequently.
Anyway, thanks to everyone out there who has been checking out the podcast; your support is GREATLY appreciated.
Episode 20 will be up soon. ^_^

Episode 18: SDCC Pt.2
To download, "right-click" and "save link as" HERE.
Welcome to another episode of the threeA radio podcast! This episode features further coverage of the threeA presence at the 2011 San Diego Comic Con.
The Legion was out in force at the con, and I was fortunate enough to grab several on the spot interviews on the exhibit hall floor. Listen on, and you'll hear from Legion members Gimbat, Kat, Benny, Geopina, dtrain, Gregory, x43x, and BRiZL.
This episode also features part of the Cover Design panel held at the con. In the panel, several noteworthy artists discussed a number of their comic covers. Since this is a 3A podcast, I focused on Ashley Wood's contribution to the panel. Below, you'll find images of the covers Ash discussed, in the order that they were presented at the panel.
Ashley Wood covers discussed in the SDCC Comic Cover Panel-
30 Days Of Night
Automatic Kafka
Fallen Angel
Mystery Society
Ghost Rider 2099
3A "Action Portable" Stormtrooper Prototype
Mystery Society
Ghost Rider 2099
One of the biggest surprises at the convention was the unveiling of some 1/12 scale Star Wars figure prototypes created by threeA. Devours and Chasbrock join me for some discussion on the prototypes and what we'd like to see from this exciting potential new line of high-end Star Wars figures.
3A "Action Portable" Stormtrooper Prototype
This episode also features another edition of threeA THUNDERDOME. In honor of the Star Wars figure unveiling, this edition of Thunderdome is Star Wars themed. Listen on as Devours and Chasbrock battle it out in the Star Wars trivia arena.
Several Convention Exclusive threeA toys were available at the con. These things were HARD to get, but I managed to grab one of the Action Portable Ascended Popbot figures. The opening of the figure and my initial impressions are presented here as sort of an impromptu unboxing and figure review.
Action Portable Ascended Popbot
All this and more on episode 18 of the threeA radio podcast.
Thanks to 3A legion members Chasbrock, Devours, Gimbat, Benny, Geopina, Kat, x43x, BRiZL, Gregory, and dtrain for contributing to the episode. Thanks also to legion member Knives, creator of the podcast closing song.
Thanks also to Kim & Ash for creating such kick-ass toys. Needless to say; without them, this podcast wouldn't exist.
If you like what you've heard, please spread the word.
